As the home team in white jerseys, the Lakers are playing the Denver Nuggets. After the 1st quarter, the Lakers lead 25-20. With the Lakers' stifling defense, the Nuggets are shooting poorly from the field, but with 11 FT attempts and constant Laker turnovers, the Nuggets stay in the game. Bynum is in early foul trouble. After the 2nd quarter, the Lakers are still leading at 56-48. The Nuggets offense picks up, but they cannot prevent Gasol's amazing 1st half and Kobe's 9 assists. The Nuggets made a run when both teams had their benches on the floor, but obviously could not sustain the run. Skipping the 3rd quarter details, we head to the final minutes of the game. The Laker made a late run after the Nuggets took control in the 3rd quarter. 3:16 left in the game, the Lakers are down 91-95. From then on, the game goes back and forth. The Lakers call a full timeout as they are down 99-101 with 14 seconds remaining. D-Fish inbounds the ball to Kobe at the top of the key. Kobe runs down the clock, then Gasol sets a screen. Odom cuts under the basket, and receives a pass from Kobe. Odom goes up for the layup but is blocked by the Birdman!!
